True story from corporate world.

Me walking up to "IT Onsite" department and talking to the first available clerk there:

Me: "Hi, I've an older docking station at home which requires software X to be installed on my laptop to work. Any chance you have experience with this and can assist me?"

If there is one thing staying the same then it's the world of frontend constantly changing I suppose.

You would be surprised how much you can do with pen and paper only.

I.e. if you use a React based framework, you can identify all main components you are going to need and their relationships.

If you ever encounter an IT professional which does pro-activeness as a second nature, value them.

That is a lion in a nest of Dingos.

Clerk: "Oh, no my department does not do software installations related to home office equipment"

*silence* *conversation done*

No pro-activity or hints on which direction I may proceed in. No hello or goodbye.

Hot take: There is far between people that are good at tech. and reading the room.

I see, this morning, the new tariffs kicking in. As some one operating a software company, I wonder if it will cause a ripple effect in revenue growth due to uncertainty.

Good point, I would not be surprised at all.

Any one who's ever worked with any company budgeting knows that knows that, traditionally, FE cost is among top numbers & easiest to cut.

However, quite good number of people have already lost their jobs so that may not be an option for all companies.
