Facing a ban, teens are sick of adults ignoring what they think about social media
'Banning it fully just straight up makes it a lot harder than finding a solution to the problem … it’s like taking the easy solution.'
A new report led by Michael Dezuanni, Kim Osman and Lynrose Jane Genon has been released today on "Young Australians' perspectives on the social media minimum age legislation".

Cam Wilson at Crikey has covered the report and its findings.

Loving the resistance to extractive research, and a deep commitment to relational research in the 'Research as Relationship: Rethinking Communication Methods' session. Some wonderful discussion in the shared Q&A after 4 super engaging papers. #aanzca25 #aanzca2025

Did you stand up, start shaking, and realise that you hadn't eaten, had a (non-caffienne) drink, or straightened your legs in that time either? If you get this notification today, go for a walk and drink water now Mark!

M/C is short, peer reviewed, and great, but you have to meet the theme of each issue.

This is an 'the adhd procrastination paid off' moment for me - indecision about submitting means no submissions. Q: Is it easier to say goodbye to the $5k from NZ, or at the US border, coz those might end up being your options.
