This is why *all* researchers need reflexivity--not just qualitative ones.
Our training and our backgrounds and our preexisting beliefs shape the research questions we ask, the methods decisions we make (eg, variables, models, or missing data strategies), and the way we interpret findings.

I think actually we should encourage interdisciplinarity and astronomy has a history of welcoming outsiders to help us solve computational problems especially but this is why it’s important for peer review to work correctly. If you’re new to a discipline, submit to standard journals in *that* field.

I need to see what accountability mechanisms they will put in place & to what degree they will also enforce. Having a standard & enforcing a standard w/ tangible consequences is VERY different.
We don’t need more vague standards. We need to be able to hold healthcare institutions accountable.
