Maybe im old fashioned, but theres a real sense of joy i feel from braincoding
The pitter patter of my hands on the keys, the rhythmic ebb and flow of navigating files in my editor.
It puts me at ease. It gives me peace. Maybe im crazy

lazyweb: are there any black-and-white filmstocks whose spectral sensitivity approximates the perceptual luminance observed by the human visual system (i.e. higher sensitivity to green, lower sensitivity to blue) rather than the typical roughly-uniform spectral response?
that's sick, i think you've sold me. (you and chris, lbr)
good for them, i hope they're successful
There's a growing mass of people who are not part of the addressable market for entertainment products because genuine leisure has been structurally removed from the possibility space of their lives and that is much more horrifying than "oh games sell bad because tiktok"
wow. i'm sorry to say, my impressive stat shows i'm naturally gifted, but your impressive stat mates you a tryhard.
that's fuckin sick dude, congrats
Interesting how much LLM discourse is a rerun of early internet hopium--"The information superhighway! A democratizing tool that will lead to less drudgery, fight inequality, and create a more informed and rational citizenry!"--without any reference to, uh, how that worked out.
ooo chris person at aftermath wrote about this last month (aftermath.site/xteink-x4-ch...). do you like it? think it's worthwhile?
i got it down to 0.0013 twice but i missed a couple π
don't take "we did it reddit" away from me, i'm begging you
ooo i wanna see

a screenshot of a slack message that reads "Hey! I've been thinking about the time I was active in jnet development. "Working with you on jnet has given me the confidence that despite spending 10+ years in physics, I could maybe be decent at software development and taking the risk of jumping into that head-first might not be that silly. I've now been working at a medium-sized web development agency for 2 years now and it's been a great experience! "So thank you for the time we spent together working on jnet. Your presence and guidance has been very important and helpful to me and I deeply appreciate it! :slightly_smiling_face:"
one of the kindest messages i've ever received. it's rare i get such a direct result from my efforts.
kindness matters, patience matters, taking your time matters, being intentional matters. it all fucking matters.
jesus, i'm glad you're safe
you gotta do this with cincinnati at some point. the highway project _destroyed_ downtown cincinnati, it has never recovered.
article about it: www.cincinnatimagazine.com/citywiseblog...
and here's some photos attached to some bullshit: www.gbbn.com/work/brent-s...

Iβve been singing this all day
pujol if you can swing it. well worth the price. a one of a kind experience.
GOD I HATED THAT GUY. HE WAS SO PUSHYYYYYYY. i felt like i was watching a horror movie, screaming "GET OUT" at her every time they talked about it.
the reason those field notes worked for me is they aren't planners, they're just lined paper. i'd doodle, write notes or grocery lists, write random dates or thoughts, and look at them constantly. i got overwhelmed when i'd try to use a "planner"-ass notebook.
roughly 100 alarms on my iphone π₯² i've tried others, and this is the only one that's consistent.
before i had an iphone, i was married to my pocket-sized fields notes booklet, i'd keep it in my back pocket until it fell apart or filled up. but it's been hard to keep that up with future phones.
and in real life! folks are out here getting 2 years into a relationship with someone who wants kids and then being like "why do they keep pressuring me about this?"
yes yes yes. aligning on this is table stakes. one of the wildest parts of those dating shows (love is blind in particular) is people not discussing this until they're practically married.
i think @gameonysus.bsky.social recommended this as one of her favorites from last year. if it was you, thank you, i adored it and i'm grateful you brought it to my attention. if not, thank you anyway! you have certainly recommended enough games to me over the years to deserve public praise lol
i played and beat Easy Delivery Co over the last 3 days, got nearly 100% (except for the stupid ass snowcat on top of the building)
it's a _really_ good game. driving feels good (except trying to go uphill), the jank is high, the vibes are eerie but never scary, the writing hits just so.
this is so fuckin cool
(person who doesn't have to get up before 7:30AM) i call it "daylight savings"
