'Co-moonication' ~ Was the first of the moon spoons. Carved in Maple wood (dyed).

A photograph of a kite flying low to the ground. The kite is blue,white and black. The sky is clear and blue. The ground is short grass covered in a thin layer of snow.

Went kite flying at the weekend. Nearly stayed home because it was -4 C outside.

The wind was perfect, the view went on forever and I came home lighter than I went out.

There’s no moral to this story, just go and fly a kite. You’ll thank me later.😉

A Great Horned Owl sitting in the snow, surrounded by tall blades of dry grass. While it can't be seen, there is a muskrat trapped below the owl who had just grabbed it from a nearby hole in the river ice.

I'm going to give this Great Horned Owl the benefit of the doubt and say that he was sitting on a muskrat in an effort to keep it warm. I'm probably being a bit more generous than he deserves. #wildlife #birds #owls
