Kragh (my main #AwesomeCharacters) tends to daydream a lot, both positive and negative. He can fixate on childhoor dreams and see a rosy future unfold from a single happening. But he can also ruminate on everything bad, forseeing the worst possible outcome.

The guilds have an especially tight control over who gets to read and write. A(very costly) permit is needed, and there are laws on who is allowed to purchase one. If you don't need it for your profession, you won't be allowed.

Question for the writers with another full time job:
How do you find the drive to write after a stressful day?

Some days (like today) I feel like my main job has drained away all the creative energy.

Kragh being stubborn is the reason the story doesn't end after four chapters. He's the quiet hopeful kind of determined.

Not so Dagna. She might be an unusual dwarf, but she's still a dwarf. When she puts her hands on her hips, digs in her heels and says no, that's it.

Since my story spans years, a few birthdays are happening. Valir's birthday is actually mentioned from time to time, since him getting gifted a second horse for his 20th birthday is considered the essence of his noble heritage by Kragh.

Unbeknownst to most, but beknownst to the reader, there's at least one individual who is no-doubt sentient but not one of the six.

While there are a lot of animals and creatures, only six species are considered sentient. Sadly, in-world, even these six aren't considered equal. From a human perspective:
- Dwarves: Okay
- Elves: Okay(But we enslaved them in the past)
- Orcs: Evil
- Trolls: Dumb
- Fey: Bad luck

Lots of chapters, none outside chapter headings. So I'll vibe with "piece" instead for this #WIPSnips.
Kragh has a tendency to hurt himself. Surprisingly enough, he seems to be in good spirits.

At first I thought this was a dandelion and wanted to tag @applesncinnamon.bsky.social. Then I noticed the bloom doesn't fit, and now I've already tagged them. Bummer.

No, the repost is its own entity. It doesn't even disappear when you delete the original post. Once you post something and allow for reposts, you essentially loose all control over that post.

It's kind of a defense mechanism, just not a very clever one (for the single animal at least). The force of impact is certainly enough to wound or frighten away a small predator. But yeah. The dragonfly dies.

Absolutely! One minor example might be the glass-like scintillating dragonflies of the Shifting Swamp, that explode into nasty shards when touched.

Kragh is good with plants! He's not a gardener, but he knows where to look for all kinds of herbs.

Also, he's got a green thumb. Literally. Like the rest of his skin. He's a half-orc.

I don't know whose wrath would be worse: Kragh's (hurt physically) or Valir's (hurt emotionally).
