January 2026 Wrap-Up Well, well, well, here we are with the first monthly wrap-up of the year! Of course my plans to get back into the blogging groove failed immediately but, oh well, we have another 11 months to keep trying lol. Let's see how the 549208 days of January went, shall we? What I read... I am over the moon that I finally read…

The seasonal bugs came for me too - no one can escape them forever, I guess! So my Saturday will consist of cosy reads, soup, and blankets galore. And I’m actually quite looking forward to it 😂

P.S. Am I the only one who hadn’t yet read The House In The Cerulean Sea? It is SO cute so far 😍

2025 Reading Challenges Wrap-Up Hello, hello and welcome back! This is my final 2025 wrap-up post, looking at my reading challenges and how I did on them. I don't tend to join many challenges to be honest, mostly because my reading plans are chaotic to say the least... however, there are a few that tend to catch my eye every year and I do enjoy taking part in them.

Wrapping Up: The Best of 2025 Another year has ended, one that more than most has felt extremely ambivalent. One the one hand, I did so many things I'm absolutely delighted about. On the other, 2025 was also a very difficult year, and it brought a fair number of struggles with it. It's also the year when I thought I'd found a good rhythm between work and blogging only to lose it again.

Wrapping up 2025 🎉

What were your favourite books and films of the year?

October 2025 Wrap-Up Well, hello everyone! It's been a while. October seems so far away, yet I realised I still hadn't posted my wrap-up for the month! Honestly, life has been life-ing hard and I had to pause this blog as I tried to juggle a lot of things at once. But I have missed this space and you folks so much! I'm going to really try to make time for this again and catching up with everything that's been happening.

September 2025 Wrap-Up What a ride! September was honestly so full, I'm a little relieved that it's over. Not sure I could keep those energy levels for much longer! It's officially autumn now, and that means I can curl up under a blanket with a hot drink again which somewhat makes up for the shorter days. My highlight for September was definitely attending the…

My Spooktober TBR Happy October! Part of me is sad to see that the days are visibly getting shorter and shorter, but I'm definitely looking forward to the return of soup & sweater season. October also means the return of one of my favourite seasonal reading challenges: the Spooktober challenge organised by @ofmadnessandmagic over on Instagram. If you don't already follow Alessa, take this as your sign to go do that now!

pordenonelegge 2025: Day 3 We'll collectively agree to pretend this post went up when it was supposed to, three days ago, and not almost a full week after the event I'm talking about 🙈 I'm also going to need September to chill for a minute and let me enjoy its final few days so I don't start the new month already knackered 😅 Anyyyyway... Sunday was my final day at pordenonelegge for this year and I loved every minute!

pordenonelegge 2025: Day 1 What a great start to this weekend! Yesterday afternoon I headed out to the lovely city of Pordenone, ready to dive deep into the festival. And did I! As soon as I stepped out of the train station and made my way to the city centre, I started breathing the joyful atmosphere of book lovers congregating. I absolutely love the fact that the festival takes place all over town, as it really lends an air of celebration to this delightful little city.

Happy Saturday!

Sharing some reflections on day 1 at pordenonelegge yesterday as I get ready for another book-filled day today ☀️

Top Ten Tuesday: Big Books Part 2 -The Ones On My TBR Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl with a new topic every week for book bloggers to chat about. This week's topic is non-bookish freebie, but I'm going rogue and doing a part 2 of last week's topic lol. Top Ten Tuesday: Big Books Part 1 -The Ones I’ve Read Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl with a new topic every week for book bloggers to chat about. This week's topic is books with a high page count. Even though I rarely read really long books nowadays, I do love the feeling of getting lost in a story that takes its time to unravel and keeps me company for long.

June & July 2025 Wrap-Up Hello, hello! Here we are again at the end of another month: July felt like it was over in a flash! With my unplanned hiatus earlier in the month, I never posted my June wrap-up so you get a 2-for-1 this time round. I have to say, I read way less than I thought I would over these two months. Maybe it's the heat, maybe I was just generally tired from the rest of, well, life and the state of the world...

Wrapping up June and July today. August, we're ready for you!

The Importance of Slowing Down in a Fast-Paced World Hello, hello! It's been a while since I've popped back on here to write a post. I had lots of great plans for reviews and other posts which - as all great plans tend to do - evaporated as soon as the first heatwave hit. We've been quite lucky not to have been hit as badly as other areas so I haven't quite melted yet, unlike my energy to do basically anything besides complain about the heat.
