To all those who had to deal with trauma or complex trauma as a child, I know you didn't hear this enough growing up so please let me tell you one thing:
You're awesome!

When you stay with your "negative" feelings, rather than resist them, they lose their power and pass more quickly.
I put "negative" in quotes because part of this involves acceptance. It's all part of who we are and what experiencing life is like, so labels like that don't truly apply.
Her Dow Jones comment was moral depravity dressed up as a talking point.
As if a surging stock market means we should stop looking into children being raped? Like really? No.
The Epstein Files have shown that the greed of the rich and powerful isn't just about money.
It extends to other people's bodies. Children's.
Yet, AG Bondi tried to tell us that a surging stock market means we move on? Excuse me?
That's moral depravity dressed up as a talking point.
Self-reflection is what we all seem to have forgotten.
And we are suffering mightily for it.
You won't find peace out there.
You'll only find it on the inside.
But, you must process your pain and grief to get there.
Healing works wonders.
IF you do your work.
The good news?
You CAN!
Other people are mirrors to us.
They help us see things we aren't seeing ourselves.
Surround yourself with mirrors who care for you.
They'll reflect everything back to you: ways you are awesome but aren't seeing, honesty in areas you may need to look at.
The results can be amazing!
This call is always one-sided. Has a SINGLE member of the regime CONDEMNED the many, many violent acts against the people? Hell, they haven't even condemned the execution we all saw on video. Someone needs to tell Holman and Trump that "real men" lead, they don't follow.
Building the ability to PAUSE is the greatest gift you can give yourself.
And everyone around you.
IFS is a great tool for healing from complex trauma!
Great image!
I cannot wait for Senator Schumer's glorious leadership.
Human beings are born with their hearts full of love.
Not cruelty. Not anger. Not hatred.
Love.
All that other stuff is taught or forced onto people.
That's why we will prevail. It's just a matter of time.
Thanks!
Thank you!
Why don't the reporters start asking Leavitt and every other member of this regime: Can you please prove your citizenship right now?
They'd be offended or dismissive.
And that would prove the point of why this approach to immigrantion enforcement is so terribly wrong.
My first ever posting on Medium! It's not on trauma healing, but some musings on Love that I've been thinking a lot about lately.

Spend more time on figuring yourself out and dare I say it: healing yourself,
Than you spend trying to figure anyone else out!
(Most of do the exact opposite.)
Why?
Because we don't have to face our own stuff then.
Yet, healing works wonders!
We need more of this!
Thank you!
100%. The saddest thing to me is often the most "masculine" guys think of themselves as these tough guy rebels. When, in fact, the entire masculinity thing is designed to make men do two things, 1) Be good workers who exhaust themselves and 2) to go to war whenever the gov't says so.
Thank you! What's a soul contract?
I know Rep. Crow. He's a good man.
My wife and I are healing at the same time. We are each other's most wonderful support. It's a true gift.
Americans are not lost. The overwhelming majority remain good, decent people. Most still believe what they see with their own eyes. May we offer thoughts and prayers for the rest and that compassion may once again find their hearts.
She's been that for me. A safe place to share thoughts, but more importantly the emotions that arise in healing work. I believe I am being that for her too.
A person who offers support and acceptance is a gift.
It can be anyone.
I wish this for everyone.
My wife is healing too.
Watching her unfold more and more into her true self is one of my life's greatest gifts. Her entire being "lights up" so much more often now.
It also brings up how helpful having a diehard supporter in your corner is invaluable in healing.
Yes! So very true.
The ones who get all worked up over *other* men crying are the most shame-laden of them all.
Let's normalize crying.
Especially for men.
It's a *NORMAL* bodily function, designed to give us relief.
Refusing it is just plain stupid.
Sometimes letting go is required for wholeness.
Relationships, beliefs, or habits can all prevent us from getting back to ourselves.
Release is not failure, it is rebirth.
