Anywhere with big waves! Personally a huge fan of the northeast like cape cod, jersey shore, montauk, block island, narragansett, but los angeles area is great too, theres a beach called matador out there where I saw dolphins swim by. Need the big noisy waves though thats the important part

I can say in retrospect that this was a "low point"
cartoons 30 years ago were like "Hey that bad guy is dumping barrels of toxic waste in the river! Let's use FRIENDSHIP to defeat him!" and cartoons now are like "Hey that 11-year-old kid stole every iPad charging cable in the city! Our rules of engagement say that justifies an ORBITAL LASER STRIKE!"
Also there are lots of other boat jobs and every boater is beholden to help any other boater in distress as part of the boating code
I hope we can make the coast guard good enough to deserve your kid as a member. Plus the coast guard academy is right near where I grew up and went to college and it's nice there
