What a smashing photo mate ๐๐
Thanks Daniel. That's a great record for Grimley and with PF Goose and Cattle Egret already a good start to the year ๐
What time was that Daniel?
Love that flight shot ๐๐๐
A decent morning at Grimley. Cattle & Little Egret, 6 Goldeneye, Marsh & Coal Tit, Redpolls, Siskins, 1st GCG of the year plus all the usual. 67 species in total #worcsbirds
This time GC Grebe let us down would you believe. Highlights were Pintail, all 3 Owl sp., 4 Jack Snipe & double figures of Woodcock. Great day & great company ๐ #worcsbirds
The Grimley regulars did a Winter All-Dayer today. We did one last about the same date in 2022 and got 85 species which we were pretty pleased with. Today we got 85 species! #worcsbirds
I think @martinflack.bsky.social may be able to offer sound advice Phil
I know. Dreading the next month or so.
DEFRA aware, tested and avian flu confirmed sadly. It could be horrendous for the wildfowl flocks at Grimley ๐
That's a good visit mate ๐
The light was definitely better from the S end! Great photos Martin ๐
Great to see 4 ad & 6 juv Whooper Swans drop in to CLP Grimley this morning. My first there since 2018 and the highest number I have ever seen there ๐ #worcsbirds

Who told me and others that someone else had already removed the lock so he had just left the gate wide open. Not quite the same as "it was felt necessary to remove the lock"
#worcsbirds please do not note above
I am one of the regular Grimley birders and (for now) a WMBC member. No one ever uses the so called WMBC carpark and never has so feel free to strongly advise whatever you like. The only person who parked where they shouldn't today was your own Worcestershire officer
That's looking good Craig ๐
Wow! That's one old Pipit ๐
I was in Harrogate today, but if I hadn't been I would have been at work โน๏ธ
Yep I know where you mean ๐
Nice one Gert. First record of the year for RP. Where was the Redstart? Our passage birds have generally gone through by now.
