what a pretty bike!
what a pretty bike!
Hey @metrolosangeles.bsky.social, I hear the new D Line stations will have vendors, but let's do this stuff all over the system!
The time change still fucking me up. Normally wake up ~7:45 and am out the door ~8:30.
I slept through my alarms and woke up at 8:45 π
I got word today that I'm officially a regular full-time employee at my job! I've been in this weird limbo state as a temp/fixed-term employee, but now no more!!! I'm so relieved π
I've only ever used it in NoHo, and one reason (in conjunction w/ the safety concerns) I don't use it more often is cause there's mnot as many docks here as there should be :(
I'm always disappointed by the alleged transit advocates in LA who have a rail-or-nothing sort of mentality. Buses exist today! Go use them!
Separate point, the American federal system is biased towards car dependent sprawl and states that never developed big cities.
Montana has fewer people than two cities in California. It's fundamentally unfair for people in Montana to get two senators and to set their own vehicle regulations.

At the kickoff for Nithya Ramanβs campaign for LA Mayor!
the Inland Empire Strikes back is such a good name lmaooo
A Stein-Thomas motion is so funny to me. They've had so much beef with each other in this whole process.
French Laundry chef again scolds Bay Area town over affordable housing project
lmfao Thomas Keller showing up to a community meeting in his chefs jacket to complain about affordable housing being built near his 3 Michelin star restaurant is just beyond parody. what a piece of shit
Hundreds of cyclists take over the LA Marathon route for an unofficial ride. Want to join?
Don't get me wrong, housing politics matter and are important, but I get really annoyed by some YIMBYs and urbanists that completely ignore the non-housing-oriented politics of people/politicians that are really, really fucking bad. The big tent can in fact be too big!
I run an LA area feed, and I'm *constantly* playing whack-a-mole with posts that are actually about New York's NoHo π
Good morning! Yes, this is he
Holy shit this made my blood boil
I don't know what drugs they're pumping into the new trains but seriously everyone is so happy when they're on board
Drivers don't like it when we ride 5 ft from cars to avoid the doorzone, but then we are blamed if they hit us with a door.
I'm calling for cities to stop using the term "Vision Zero". I'm done with all the talk to score political points and zero vision (pun intended) to actually save lives.

Probably hasn't actually been used in at least a decade even if it's nominally "active". Metro owns the ROW, shouldn't be a problem to decommission it but I'm just a rando so idk
East of Victory makes sense, but not for the small portion west of it. Makes me wonder if they're putting the class IV part on the south side of Chandler rather than along the railroad in anticipation of the turn onto Victory. Worried about that transition if so
Nice work by CM Katy Yaroslavsky to get coffee kiosks in all the new Metro D Line stations opening in May! cdn.mc-weblink.sg-mktg.com/weblink/MTc3...
If you're in the area this Saturday, drop by the city's pop-up and give feedback - 9-12:30 at east end of path - Chandler/Mariposa www.burbankca.gov/calendar/-/c...
City of Burbank alignment for the next phase of Chandler bikeway project. Not as direct as I had expected (that would be a path to the Metrolink Station), but looks ok, workable. What do you think #bikela?
Hmm, seems kinda silly to me that they aren't just using the whole length of the old railroad on Chandler. Do you know why they're shifting to Class IV east of Lomita?
