Lawyers: Next time you have a client who is late or can't make it to a trial date, enter this as an excuse. Cite this exact example. Of course it won't work, but make the judge explain it. Make the judge have to say that the rich live by a different set of laws than the rest of us. Response to a report that Elon Musk was simply "too busy" and "too important" to appear in court to answer charges he was trying to rig elections. And this was allowed by the judge, despite the fact that Musk had been specifically ordered to appear.
