Also, arguably the gayest in the entire franchise. Call/Ripley and Johner/Vriess all the way, baby!

It's why I loved the She-Ra reboot so much because it emphasized that one's life, specifically a queer woman's life, doesn't have to be some cosmic price for peace. That choosing to live can be just as noble as being willing to die.

We see many characters willing to die for loved ones or even strangers, but we rarely see characters choosing to live, making the "selfish" choice of putting themselves above others.

While I do get a character willing to die for her child, I think the trope also lends to the discussion of how characters, and often time they're women and/or queer/coded, are idolized when they die in an almost ritualistic hero's sacrifice.

Honestly, I thought its death scene was too graphic, even for an Alien film. I did like that it had Ripley's eyes. Strangely, I really liked the Offspring in Romulus.

What really amazes me is when minorities, especially women, refuse to vote or discuss any political topics. We literally had to fight for the right to vote as women in this country. Also, it doesn't matter if you are "into politics," because the politicians are all interested in your rights.
