I also think about some of these dudes living out the dream of playing in the NBA. Some of them will get a chance to stick thanks to getting minutes on a tanking team.

The system isn't that bad and this year is really an outlier due to the amazing draft.
I am a big believer in the Universe's Law of Unintended Consequences. NBA thought flattening the odds would curb tanking yet it only made it worse.
I think about that. But I don't see many fans complaining about their team tanking. It seems to be NBA fans complaining about teams other than their main franchise. I don't have the energy to expend to care about UTA, WAS, etc tanking and I consider myself an NBA fan. Too much good stuff to focus on
I just don't think every game played every night needs to be the peak of competition. If everything is awesome then nothing is awesome.
I'm in the the "there are other things I care abou fixing in the NBA more than tanking" camp. Like getting rid of illegal screens, gather step, off-arm billy club. But if tanking offends you I won't try to talk you out of it.

Good call. I have no data to back this up but I feel like it's just begging for offensive foul call cause defenders are really good at selling contact and positioning so that the setter doesn't give them allowed steps. Also, refs have nothing else to look at so it gets more scrutiny.
