This is a very good intro to difficulty in PBTA games.

Tchaikovsky would be hard pressed to find a better-fitted crew for this mission than the RRD folks. Solid choice, and an amazing series of books if you haven't gotten into reading them yet.

How often to you go to a game store?

These places used to be the only easy way to get TTRPGs & similar products. Now it's easy to buy directly from the publishers, to say nothing of larger marketplaces. If you don't go to one, why? BONUS: What's your fav local store?

Being a 3rd place just isn't profitable for most stores. So I rarely visit. Mostly just to buy a new graphic novel or game.

I used to visit a local store all the time. It was a great place to meet and introduce new people to indie TTRPGs

However it shut down so years ago and the new store is mostly focused on MTG and comic books

Random #TTRPG idea: the time war is already over. Who started it and when noone really knows. But the scars are everywhere. Places where time flows at different rates. Portals to pockets of looped time. People with holes in their memory. But it is assumed both sides cut each other out of time.

I do think it’s the players job, if you’re going to dungeons on the regular, to actually create and play people who do something as opposed to try to make everything as safe as humanly possible

My immersion gets broke when our game about advantureres is full of people who wouldn’t ever adventure

I saw someone talking about how much work you’d have to do to keep the “house of cards” of a ttrpg together if you’re creating through improv.

I think it’s easy to forget that ttrpgs don’t work like a tv show or book series. Unless you’re taping it, you’re not going back to check minor details
