Avec plus de dix ans de carrière à son actif, Marco apporte une expérience précieuse ainsi qu’une passion pour le bien-être des joueurs. Il est toujours prêt à défendre leurs intérêts, tout en veillant à ce que l’AFP Canada soit dirigée avec intégrité et détermination.
Le parcours de Marco au sein de l’AFP a commencé dès sa fondation en 2020, alors qu’il occupait le poste d’administrateur, avant de devenir vice-président en 2021. Lorsque Marcel De Jong a quitté le poste de président, Marco a assuré l’intérim avant d’être élu président en 2024.
Aujourd’hui, il est gardien de but pour l'HFX Wanderers de la Première Ligue canadienne et constitue un joueur clé du championnat depuis sa création en 2019.
Né à Calgary, en Alberta, Marco a évolué comme joueur professionnel partout en Amérique du Nord, ainsi qu’au sein de l’équipe nationale canadienne dans différentes catégories d’âge.

With a career spanning more than a decade, Marco brings a wealth of experience and a passion for player welfare and advocacy that ensures that PFA Canada is being led with integrity and purpose.
Marco’s journey with the PFA began at its inception in 2020 as a director, before becoming Vice President in 2021. When Marcel De Jong stepped down as President, Marco stepped in as interim President before being re-elected as President in 2024.
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Marco has played professionally throughout North America as well as with the Canadian National Team at various levels. Currently, Marco is a goalkeeper for the HFX Wanderers of the Canadian Premier League and has been a pillar of the league since it began in 2019.
