One idea would be to keep all your progress in a box and set it aside, if you feel inclined you could make it into a progress journal of sorts - a clear gauge of progress!
You could see if a local cafe would display the ones you like best, or gift them to people you know, or send them to charities.

Acrylic paint can have as many layers as you'd like, though (I think) paint markers have alcohols or other mediums in them to make the pigment flow? (If so, it would make the underlayers sometimes rehydrate) :D

Good supplies are a delight to work with and well worth the initial investment! (1/2)

I'm not sure it could get any more so, either ahaha I'm so excited to see the evos too!

The new starter pokemon Gecqua which I have modified and coloured to resemble my gecko-dragon character, Akki. :D It's drawn in three poses - tail sass on all fours, excited tail whomp with a butterfly, and a derpy standing pose similar to the original pokemon illustration.

Oh no, I love Gecqua too much?! aaaaaa (had to doodle it, but Akki-style @..@ )

This was actually Orions original shape until I found the Freakhound. Now he has so many more shapes lol.

A simple wash of two sections, representing what is eventually the water surface and the underwater canyon. The colors are a simple wash of purples, blues, and green-yellows.

A layer painted on top of the prior image, detailing the shadows of the rocks under water as well as the surface ripples.

The finished painting of an underwater canyon, glowing with yellow light from above and shadowed in purple, with the canyon disappearing in the distance into the deep blue sea.

The best #watercolor tip I ever learned was to paint with only 3 layers, max. Base gradients (lighting), detail gradients, fine details/shadows.

This keeps color vibrant and teaches you a lot about layering! So, here’s the three layers that made up my recent study~ 🐠
