Momma bear in full meerkat mode sniffing the snow-filled air as her two cubs watch. The sudden snow squall swirls around them.

Mom resettles and checks on her cubs as the closest one stretches in the snow. The snow still swirls around them.

Mom and one cub have resettled back in their sleeping spot while the cub on the end looks out towards the photographer. The snow has eased off again.

Another story in four parts. This polar bear mom went from seemingly sound asleep to full meerkat mode in seconds. Her nose is always on the alert for potential danger to her and her 11-month-old cubs. #Mammals #BearSeason2025 🌿

Polar bears can reach a top speed of 40 km/h, but rarely run. This poor guy was unfortunately scared off by an emergency helicopter that was landing to help a guest in distress. Thankfully, he didn't have to go far. #Mammals 🌿
