For the record, getting up at 7:00AM on a Saturday to go to the dentist for a crown: 0/10 do not recommend. Shittiest way to voluntarily spend a Saturday.

A nice easy low resistance high rpm recovery ride today.
But ultimately yes, I definitely recognize I'll need a more structured deliberate plan to keep workouts productive. And I'll try to convince myself to get in at least one off day a week as a start. Introducing real strength training, especially upper body work on off days from riding would help.
I have always had a hard time with the "off" days. I've never liked just taking a day completely off. Sometimes it happens out of necessity of other things going on in life but I struggle with once I take one day off, not letting that open up to progressively more days off.
Sure, I'm open to it. Like you said, not looking for race shape or anything, just using the bike trainer as a good solid cardio fitness platform at least until the weather gets better and I can get back to running and other outdoor exercise.
Super foggy, they've been running holds and one-in/one-out ops all night. Hear they has fourteen 121 arrivals tonight and many have been forced to divert.

I like that I'm seeing more consistent higher heart rates on these workouts. Another sign of my improving fitness level.
I've successfully gone down this path before (and then gotten lazy and let the weight come back on). It's a combination of exercise and calorie deficit to get back to where I was 4 years ago.
Goal is both weight loss and regained fitness, to look like this and fit in that dress again:

Keeping strong, workouts have definitely gotten more productive. Still a long way from my goal weight but visible differences are pretty obvious now.
Agreed, in fact they can be productive in terms of preventing/breaking plateaus. Unfortunately, in this case it was more of a cheat week. So coming out of it having not gained any weight is a big win :)
Eating too many calories per day

So weighed in this morning, despite eating not so great (or maybe too great depending on how you look at it) I held stable weight wise. Back on the wagon now.
My first fear, even though I rarely ever get them in my house, was that they managed to catch a furry friend and were standing over the carcass they planned to gift me.
Thankfully there was nothing but now I'm left to wonder what they're plotting.
Tell me these two don't look guilty AF. Theories on what I just walked in on?????

Back home and back on the Zwift train!! Tomorrow we get back on the diet targets too.
Nope, I've learned my lessons before.
After a week of Indian food (which, for the record, I love) I really needed a good ol' fashioned American style burger. So no it doesn't fit my diet and yeah this whole trip has been a story of eating too much, but dammit it was worth it.
Back to the discipline tomorrow.
Oh I definitely don't have any delusions of trying to change who I am. Can't be anyone else. Just starting to cope with the fact that I'm in the dating Sahara ๐
I'm trying, but I can't help but look at (and experience rejection based on) a mounting list of reasons potential connections say "yeah maybe not". ๐
Well I don't know about the first three, but that last one (which O also thought was one of the few things I had going for me) is what I've now been informed makes me even less datable.
