This legislation is an important step. As a cosponsor of the Block the Bombs Act, I will continue to support legislation that ensures our taxpayer dollars are only being spent in accordance with our humanitarian values.

I am proud to be an original cosponsor of @casten.house.govβs Ceasefire Compliance Act.
This bill would stop arms sales to Israel if the Oct. 10th ceasefire agreement is violated, if the West Bank is annexed, or if settler violence against Palestinians continues.

I am grateful to have received the Equal Rights Amendment Champion Award from the ERA Coalition!
Itβs long past time to officially recognize the ERA, and Iβll always fight for legislation in Congress to stop discrimination on the basis of sex.
Since the announcement of a $1 billion grant for this rail line in 2023, I have been fighting tirelessly to ensure that this Administration disperses these funds.
I am glad to see this funding beginning to reach our community which will help expand transit and improve infrastructure in our region.
π¨ BIG NEWS: the Federal Railroad Administration has released nearly $60 million in funds to advance the planned Raleigh to Richmond S-Line passenger rail corridor.
Data centers continue to pop up across the country with no safeguards for our communities from negative repercussions.
I joined @repbonnie.bsky.socialβs Data Center Community Impact Act to authorize a federal study to inform policymaking and protect communities that have too often been overlooked.
It was great to meet with Duke School of Nursing leadership to discuss federal policies that are impacting education and the nursing workforce.
Healthcare initiatives are key to sustaining local jobs, and Congress must ensure these programs are fully funded in order to build a stronger workforce.
Iβm glad that Kristi Noem has been removed as head of DHS after over 185 House Democrats signed Rep. Robin Kelly's Articles of Impeachment.
However, Congress must implement real policy changes to stop this lawless agency and ensure her successor is held accountable and doesnβt repeat past abuses.
As I promised to my constituents, I voted against the DHS funding bill yesterday.
I have no interest in providing funding to this rogue agency. ICE must be dismantled immediately to save lives.

Today, I proudly voted in favor of the War Powers Resolution to stop Trumpβs war with Iran.
Our communities are tired of endless wars that put servicemembers and lives abroad at risk. I have no interest in supporting Trumpβs actions in Iran and will continue to support all efforts to stop it.
Properly safeguarding the rights and identities of survivors are paramount. I fully support the Ethic Committee investigating anyone accused or sexual abuse or harassment, but I donβt believe this bill properly protects the safety of survivors in its current form.
From what Democrats are aware of, there was little-to-no collaboration with survivors on this bill, which is very different than previous efforts to support the Epstein survivors. We should be thoroughly collaborating with survivors to make a determination on if this is the proper route forward.
Redacting personally identifiable information is required in the bill, but the reality is that House offices are small and survivors or witnesses may be easily identifiable.
My office has been getting lots of calls about my vote against Rep. Maceβs resolution yesterday. I want to be clear that I firmly believe that there is no place for sexual harassment in Congress, but the resolution as written could put survivors at risk.
Congress cannot stand by while this administration drags us into another endless war. @HouseDemocrats.bsky.social will force a vote on a War Powers Resolution this week. (2/2)
After ripping healthcare and food assistance from working families, Trump is now spending billions on a reckless new war with no strategy and no congressional approval. (1/2)
Wishing a colorful and happy Holi to all who celebrate! Holi Hai!

These actions are repeating the costly mistakes of past regime-change wars that destroyed communities, destabilized entire regions, and left generations to bear the consequences.
Congress must pass the bipartisan War Powers Resolution immediately.
Trumpβs escalation of violence in Iran has claimed the lives of hundreds of Iranians, cost American lives and placed more servicemembers at immediate risk.
I oppose this unlawful attack and demand that Congress reconvene immediately to pass the bipartisan War Powers Resolution to stop this administration and hold it accountable. (3/3)
This attack ignores the will of the American people and recklessly puts our servicemembers in harmβs way, repeating the same costly mistakes of past regime-change wars that have destabilized entire regions and destroyed countless lives. (2/3)
Trumpβs attack on Iran is an unconstitutional escalation that risks dragging the United States into another catastrophic and endless war in the Middle East. (1/3)
Ensuring equity in AI also means ensuring equity in educationβcommunities of color cannot be left behind.
Iβm introducing the HBCU AI Research Leadership Act to ensure that students at our nationβs HBCUs can also have the opportunity to engage in AI education and research.
Women's incarceration outpaces men's, yet there's still a lack of basic data on pregnancy outcomes and prenatal care behind bars. It's more urgent than ever that the U.S. ensure pregnant people receive quality care. That's why we support this important legislation. π
