There is so much I could say about what happened in that group, but seeing you come here acting surprised by the pushback is truly disappointing.
Interesting… because I too never received a response to the email I wrote to the NCTM/CEC group as well as CEC leadership stating my concerns and that I dissociating myself with the group because of the blatant anti-science sentiment being expressed.
A consensus? I beg to disagree. I dissociated myself with the group because if the anti-science sentiment and personal views being pushed by many members of that group. Also, 3 of the people CEC asked to join the group signed on to the response criticizing this so called “consensus” statement.
