I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.
But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.

This grant represented a critical effort to address the ⬆️ rates of maternal & infant mortality in the US, particularly among Black mothers & babies
We are devastated to see 20% of our beloved colleagues laid off by the same leadership who have yet to recognize our union.
We demand that leadership at Sesame Workshop bargain with us over the terms of these massive layoffs. Consider letting them know that you expect the same.

And the funding announcement for diversity supplements now has been updated to expire today. Supplements are so important to the careers of junior scientists. This is crushing for post docs and early career faculty
