Yes DRS passing was an artificial speed advantage too, but overtakes under braking in to corners still happened because they weren't slowing down at weird points of the lap instead of attacking the corners full chat.
The FIA ignored that it would spell the end of spectacular on the limit cornering.
The argument is that the skill required to overtake in the braking zones for corners is no longer required because they are no longer aggressively attacking those corners. They LICO in to them instead and overtakes are just passes due to having more power than the other guy, not more skill as before
