Most importantly though, I actually don't think that winning elections is per se the thing that will bring the Overton window leftward. And what you're describing is effectively moving it rightward. If you win power but now you have no principles, how does that help anyone ever?

IDK, I think this is a little off the mark. First, I think pro-Palestine activism exists outside of social media. Second, I don't think people who prioritize that issue over other are failing a strategy, they're just trying to raise consciousness about their issue.

I think the filmmakers didn't even think of the character as being meaningfully trans, since they are _forcefully medically transitioned_. It's all just some kind of ivory tower thought experiment for them, which honestly makes it worse!
