Not sure. Either fighting trainers with level 16 zubats while I was level 34 and then suddenly fighting level 50s, or maybe its the fight with Bugsy where he has a KAKUNA AND METAPOD that can barely hurt you and are wastes of slots, or maybe it was the awful voltorb flip :P

Said it before but im thankful that, so far, any time my life has been ruined my something, it was only when i was like 12 videos ahead on the LP channel so I dont have that added stress. I can record 0 things until mid may and be fine.

Im thankful Spider-Man has the inherent fix to this with
him liking to unwind by solving smaller crimes like car jacking and store robberies.

I would assume youd want something basic so the most possible cards can work. Like a Gruul stompy deck or a Izzet spellslinger. Theres tons of meh but still perfectly playable big dinos and dragons and beasts and plenty of nonpermanent spells thatd work.

It has some Quality of Life stuff like the fairy type and physical special split and stuff, but is mostly just kanto and the sevii islands with gen 5 mons, plus a few gen 6 ones from sevii. I had a lot of fun with it, despite its simplicity :)

Odyssey is an Etrian Odyssey inspired game, Unbound is a decent more story focused one, Lazarus is a good basic one, and Kanto Black is a cool one that changes the 151 from Kanto to the 156 from Black/White :)

In this case i think Zoomers are 1997 onwards, so a lot of Zoomers that did start playing games probably started in 2001-2002 with the previous gen of consoles because of expenses, so the N64/PS1/Dreamcast era of stuff, since most people i know started playing games around 5 or 6.

And while I've tried 99% of formsats (Cube, pauper, standard, modern, etc) and just do not like them even 1% as much as commander, I think everyone should try the others too. :)

In order for partner to finish their bachelors degree we may need to move to another part of the state....which we can't do because how would we? if they get a job here theyd have to leave it to move, and we cant get a job there before because its an hour+ away???

Honestly I think it's a yugioh situation where a slop deck isn't inherently a bad thing and it's just what it's called. I've very rarely seen people use it as a negative and they just mean a game whose purpose is solely discord calls with friends.
