I've got this mostly hammered out, kind of.

The landscape of browser-based WebRTC things being able to stream desktop audio is jank and inconsistent at best. There's a stub of a thing to support streaming only one window's audio but nothing supports it. Firefox won't send audio at all. Augh.

Making big progress on taking my video tech and making an ingest that doesn't need OBS. You open a web page and it pops up a thing asking to target a window and sets bitrate, resolution, etc automatically.

I think for a lot of things I'd continue to *favor* OBS, but this is a zero-conf alternative.

(yes this is a tongue in cheek jab at the Segagaga fan patch announcement but I'm dead serious that if you release a project and it's slop, you didn't actually release anything; you lied about releasing something)

It's a real shame that someone announced a fan translation of one of the big remaining gems of the retro era that remained untranslated; only for us to find out absolutely no work was done at all and such a thing does not exist.

Why would someone just lie like that?

My biggest hope is someone takes the tools they opened up (which a lot of teams don't do) and makes a real translation.
