I was asked to return for Mega Man: Dual Override, but only on the condition I work without the protections of a union contract.
This goes for American comics, too. Take what you think they make, halve it, then halve it again. And if they aren't working for the Big Two, halve it again. And to be brutally honest, if they're writing and drawing graphic novels, halve it yet again.
It helps me if I have a Project to distract me instead. Like I'm more offline when I have a book I'm looking forward to reading that weekend, or an all-day event, or something I'm fixing out in the garage. I was at a festival on Saturday so I was offline almost the whole day.
