Ever wondered why you can see underwater bubbles: invisible air in invisible water?
It's because light bends slightly at the boundary between air & water, so light coming from behind the bubble is diverted away from your eye. The resulting dark line shows you the bubble must be there. Beautiful!

Just finished Star Trek: Academy, S1.
And you know what? I think this is the strongest Season 1 of a Trek show I have ever seen. Absolutely superb.

Overall I’m very satisfied with this finale. I think it’s one of the strongest live action Trek finales of this era of Trek.
Star Trek Academy may be my favorite modern Trek, though Discovery will always hold a special place in my heart.
