I'm sorry, it's got to be such a struggle. You can get through this, you're the toughest person I know but yeah, cut yourself whatever slack you need π

The media took trans dignity without listening to a single trans person
The Supreme Court took trans rights without listening to a single trans person
Labour and the NHS took trans healthcare without listening to a single trans person

Spent years now anxiously waiting for the day to come where the hammer finally falls and the UK government cuts off life-saving hrt to trans people. I think we may be there soon.
Just never thought it would be a Labour government to do it.
Congrats! π
I've always done this, even the worst food is better warm. As a kid, an only child, I got yelled at a lot for not eating though, even had my dinner tipped over me once (Mind you that turned out to be a good thing as it led to an actual conversation about texture and foods mixed together)
Have a great time!
Hope you're feeling better this morning π
@annehealthcare.bsky.social have produced a very useful guide about what to do if your GP stops your hormones prescription or refuses care. Remember you have rights and options, and they have legal, ethical and professional obligations.
β οΈ PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING: We believe NHS England and DHSC policy on transgender healthcare shows signs of ideological capture by the gender critical movement. Current decisions risk serious harm to trans people and undermine evidence-based care.

yep, better to have incompetent genocide than Labour's media-shielded ruthlessness
plus it might finally push Scotland to independence and freedom

Care to corner Wes Streeting at the opportune moment?
They like money
We knew it was coming but theyβve gotten so brazen now as I wasnβt expecting it so fast.
We know the playbook, theyβll exclude all the evidence then say the evidence is too weak.
This is an attempted genocide of trans people and itβs high time professional orgs and MPβs called this bullshit out.
Out of interest, how much are Trump's sycophants making from his manipulation of oil prices?
Is this to distract us from what they've done to the teenagers?
Or are they so overrun with terf ideology that they're going to try and kill us all?
Maybe they're just hoping to use the Transmission press to hide this threat because that's what evil people would do
This government does not care about women.
Great news today: we were told that @libdems.org.uk have written to the Minister for Women and Equalities regarding the EHRC and Supreme Court ruling. Urging the Minister to appoint a joint committee of cross-party MPs and peers to conduct post-legislative scrutiny of both the
In clear detail, how the Labour government and NHS are deliberately deceiving the British public in order to ban the existence of trans people under 18
And yes, banning existence is genocide

It won't hurt to take a day off from it π
In a competitive field where it is hard to stand out, to truly shine for national transphobia, the UK and NHS are absolutely knocking it out of the park. They looked and looked and only found 1 study on puberty blockers + oestrogen
Others try and transphobe but we are world class transphobes
Gallows humour. Almost everyone has been getting this treatment regime for decades but it's been excluded from the government justification for banning hrt to 16/17 year olds
If nothing else shows what a - deadly - farce the ban is, it's this π€¬
In order to justify removing the healthcare from trans youth in the UK, 96.9% of studies into trans healthcare treatment were excluded, and no studies on non-binary people included at all.
This is absolutely what will happen when young trans people rationally stop seeking NHS "care" that offers nothing more than conversion therapy appointments.
Ultimately I can't change the past so I try and accept it as being my path through life
Yeah this one's a permanent dilemma. There's probably 3 points in my life I 'should' have started transition but didn't have sufficient conviction, before I actually did
I wouldn't have had my daughter or career, but I wouldn't have had quite so much self hate, or messed up other people either
Wes Streeting isnβt doing this for the Reform vote heβs doing it because heβs a deeply revolting right-wing piece of shit and questions should be asked about the role of his religion in it if we want to be real
"Like all propaganda, the Cass Review is not intended to stand up to scrutiny. It is intended to make a bang, a media blitz across the country saying trans healthcare is bad, which can then be used by the government to justify further restricting access to gender-affirming care."
The pall of smoke over Glasgow today. The spire of Glasgow Central is barely visible through the haze.
Today is not the day to head into Glasgow city centre if you have respiratory issues. The air is acrid.
This is the view from my office. The wind is coming from an unusual, south-easterly direction, so the smoke appears to be affecting neighbourhoods as far away as Woodside.
