Weβve live streamed the genocide of Palestinians and watched people around us become disabled and die from covid infections and resulting conditions, so unfortunately I donβt have a ton of faith that weβll somehow save the United States from increased militarization and murders.
Man, I bet the NRA is going to be furious when they hear that jack-booted thugs from the federal government executed a law-abiding citizen for exercising his Second Amendment right to carry a handgun.
Any second now, I'm sure.
He was a white guy, if that helps?
Hello? NRA?
Per his colleagues: The victimβs name was apparently Alex Pretti and he was an ICU nurse caring for severely injured veterans at the VA Hospital. He was acting as an observer, filming the raid. Any suggestion that he was there with violence on his mind is horrific gaslighting.

Didn't think I would ever willingly listen to this talk show, but here we are
Murder.
Frostbite is actually good everyone!
Albertans are witnessing the deathblow to fair and equitable HC access right here, and all without even a discussion to see if there is a mandate for govt to do this.
This is not hyperbole or fearmongering.

When asked if she would take any responsibility for the Tylenotβ’οΈ scandal she created...
She blamed a former leader, a leadership race & a byelection.
Smith was elected leader in Oct 2022
She won her byelection in Nov 2022

Today, Danielle Smith will unveil Albertaβs new vehicle license plate that features a slogan: βStrong & Freeβ.
Smith will surely argue that it is featured on Albertaβs coat of arms however, we all know thatβs itβs a dogwhistle for separatists and, is new plate a priority?

The restructuring of Alberta Healthcare continues to go smoothly...

If you want a COVID-19 vaccine in Alberta this is what you now need to do:
1. "Pre-order" by Sept. 30: bookvaccine.alberta.ca/vaccine/s/pr...
2. In the fall, remember to book a public health clinic appointment. (No more pharmacy shots.)
3. Pay. (Prices not yet announced.)
4. Attend appointment.
If your son or brother admitted that he and his teammates had sex with an intoxicated woman, would you think, well as long as it was not illegal in a court of law it is acceptable? That is the difference between right and wrong vs criminal law.
When Alberta nurses apply for Workers' Compensation Board benefits for PTSD, the board must now assume the stress was caused by their work unless proven otherwise. The change means nurses will no longer be forced to wait for β or be denied β benefits after experiencing traumatic events on the job.
Itβs more than the Boyle Street Curse.

I swear. Itβs more.
Pros: inexpensive, easily found materials locally or online, more effective than HEPA air purifiers
Cons: take up a fair amount of space, kinda ugly (can be made cuter with creative shroud design and coloured tape), box fans can be noisy
Pros definitely outweigh any cons for breathable air
Set ours up again today, cute cat not included.
Windows closed, furnace fan on, CR box fan will run all day.

June is Indigenous History Month in Canada, and I'd like to recommend to anyone I know who hasn't ever taken Indigenous Canada to register today and start the free class today. It's an Indigenous centred history course and frankly, will be world changing for you.

Read that again: for-profit private hospitals ONLY MAKES SENSE economically if govt intends to make Joe Albertan pay out of pocket for the profit margin costs...
ABs should be very concerned. Did you vote for this? Does govt have a mandate for this?

The UCP is facing 8 investigations into corruption, plus no fewer than 3 major public sector union strikes (all of their own making).
The affordability crisis looms, as does a trade war with the US.
Wildfires & measles are raging.
And the premier chose now to clear a path for a separation vote.
A government under seven (7) different investigations for corruption just introduced a bill that would bring more corporate money into politics.
This is not normal.

As I've said before - I don't want tax cuts, I want well funded and supportive social programs to help everyone in society.
βWe regularly hear stories from Albertans who voluntarily seek out mental health or addictions support, but canβt find it ... The real issue we need to tackle is a lack of access to timely care, not a push to further criminalize those who use drugs,β said Gallaway
