Claude is not an ethical choice.
It is part of the war machine and may have been responsible for many deaths. Amodei follows Sam Altman’s playbook, of constant hype and overpromising (on AGI), and the LLM is illegally trained on copyrighted content.

Der er masser gode alternativer til US chatbots, fx denne dataethics.eu/da/dansk-cha... udviklet i Danmark #digitalsuverænitet
Med den fart og den måde det sker på er det nok mest vs
Hear 9 US individuals leading the fight for humans over data centers, AI film slop, loss of human dignity, surveillance etc
Let’s hope these huge protest will not reach Europe as almost everything else from America. We’re smarter in implementing AI, right?

All over again 😟
Companies try to influence what the chatbots say by providing specific information, lots of it, for the chatbots to soak up.
But it is challenging ad chatbots hallucinates, answers on the same question they suck up old content that might be outdated

The disgusting face of a brutal dictatorship:
Jimmy Lai, the Hong Kong pro-democracy media mogul who spent decades as a defiant thorn in Beijing’s side, was sentenced on Monday to 20 years in prison. 6 of his staff at Apple Daily got between 6 and 10 years.

Good read. Big AI tech is selling personalisation as something very useful, it might help you, it certainly helps the companies, as they suck up all your data and memory leaving you without control or insight. Alternatives in Europe have not followed suit

The future of European tech is open source. It is a strategic choice towards #digitalsovereignty Learn about why open source tech is important for democracy, and about chatbots, open washing, OpenStreetMap and OS2 skole

Low-cost and accessible AI therapy chatbots powered by large language models have been touted as one way to meet the need. But new research from Stanford University shows that these tools can introduce biases and failures that could result in dangerous consequences

Have we heard this before if you write ‘social media’ in stead of chatbots:
‘Generative A.I. chatbots are going down conspiratorial rabbit holes and endorsing wild, mystical belief systems.’

Yoshua Bengio is launching a new nonprofit lab to make AI systems act less like humans.
Designing Generative AI as humans is manipulative and unethical. They are machines and should look like, talk like and act like machines

Initial trial for one copyright theft to train GenAI is up 9th June! This case is Getty images trying to save the photo industry. In another The New Yort Time is trying to save journalistic content. And record labels’ try to save music copyright

We all have a digital ID app (MitID) developed by Netcompany The app only works w Apple and Google. If you buy a European open-sourced smartphone like Fairphone, Volla or Murena you are lost. They can send you by snailmail a small code-device (made in China) so you can work your way around

Of course chatbots are not protected by freedom of speech as former Google-staffers from the startup Character.ai claim. It is so dumb and such a waste of time and ressources to discuss whether machines who unethically have dressed up as humans should have any HUMAN rights

Google and others w gigantic economic interests have hyped GenAI. Now they are hyping so-called Agentic AI, and we are seeing the beginning of a hype around AGI, artificial general intelligence, supposedly surpassing all human cognitive skills. It is bullshit, BS. www.axios.com/2025/05/21/g...

Listen to @karenhao.bsky.social in this podcast (25 minutes in) podcasts.apple.com/dk/podcast/h... She points to extremely important unethical issues w GenAI
Thanks @caseynewton.bsky.social for bringing in @karenhao.bsky.social - she’s a brilliant journalist and she’s right in her conclusions on GenAI. Funnily, neither of you - and especially not Kevin - backed her like you praise the makers of GenAI, especially Claude.
New test: OpenAI’s most powerful system hallucinates 33 percent of the time. That is more than twice the hallucination rate of its previous reasoning system.
When running another test, which asks more general questions, the hallucination rates were 51 and 79 percent.
