Like rn everytime I get a yellow I get excited at the potential new power spike, where as in D4 its just more mats to use for crafting.

Plenty of games struggle to balance loot to gameplay and power levels, but its always fun to go back and see where we used to be where you could spend hours not getting anything for your class at all because the pool wasn't focused.

Marathon, as it is right now, is in a good spot where rare loot is still rare, and harder to come by, making it more precious, but I worry with time it'll become easier to get as the typical Bungie players complains near constantly.

Diablo IV suffers because they focused on Uniques and Mythics forgetting legendariws for a long time. And in many cases they're still recovering from that.

But the fact I can spend 3 seconds farming the hardest content to roll another 15 of the same object is nice but also boring after a while.

D2 for example introduce Tiers which I thought was great until end game came and people moaned about time in and loot out weren't equating like it used to, so they adjusted drop rates.

now Im swimming in T5s at rhe end of every piss easy GM, the tier systems almost completely nullified

The conversation is difficult to have because on one hand I like when I find loot, but also if all my loot is the same rarity with only a slight degree of variance it just becomes normal loot again.

Most loot driven games fall into this eventually, and keeping loot interesting is an uphill battle.

I've been replaying Diablo 2 Remastered again recently to stave off buying Warlock expansions, and man theres something about old loot loops that really makes both nostalgiac and appreciative of modern looting.

Though I gotta say loot overall should be rarer and more stratified.

I feel no pity for people trying to "escape geopolitics" when it's them causing or contributing to it.

This is fucking hilarious to see the hubris of these dickweeds.

Spent time this morning assessing which pokemon games I needed to play from emerald to now and keep most of the pokemon.

Thankfully transport and bank still operate, and all I really need to replay to make this feasible is White.

However I am gonna replay all of them for nostalgia.
