Discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability cannot be assessed without historical analysis. Historical impacts and outcomes are why those forms of discrimination exist.
From the overt racism at the top, to those who do it in secret, all the way to those in our everyday that do and say nothing to intervene, all of it harms. For those who live it, it is awful everyday, everytime.
For those (of us) who have researched, published books, chapters, Journal articles, conference papers on racist immigration violences, including deportation and detention, your work is needed now more than ever. Share it, wield it, care with it.

There is nothing novel about calling the rules-based order a useful fiction. Postcolonial, TWAIL, and critical race scholarship built this critique. What’s novel is watching it reappear stripped of names, histories, and accountability.

Blaming innocent people for when cops kill or brutalize them is and has always been a deeply dishonourable, repugnant gaslight.
There are enough people who want things to be different to stop all of this.
It is deeply worrying how startled so many are when racist colonial capitalism violently advances as it was designed to as though something else was before them. Conquest via supremacy is its project. We need to educate in ways that help more see this and to imagine differently.

I guess appeals for Nations like England, France, The Netherlands, or Spain, to intervene on the current attempt from the US to attack and steal from South America would be a stretch, as they made themselves via doing the same.
White supremacist organizing, training, policy making, country leading, deporting, imprisoning, banning, all need to be stopped.
We cannot live like this, work like this, breathe like this.

Crowdfunding for racists, training and recruiting, it is happening everywhere and advanced at leadership levels. More people need to step up together to stop this.
I mean, maybe the hunting down & criminalizing of people living outside, trashing their encampments, & closing safe consumption sites needs their action instead of declaring an emergency of their making.
