Usually the layout is naturally a grid due to the full-width nature of the glyphs. But if an alternative script (e.g. Latin) is inserted the grid is disrupted.

my package of choice for sea surface temperature data is rerddap (and I use the OISST dataset, usually)

how do you generally access land surface temperature data, and which dataset do you use? (I need a few decades at least, ideally 70s/80s to near-present day)
