There needs to be more integration of primary care training, sure, but I’d say most of our non-primary care roles require skill in team based care. Bridging knowledge gaps about and between health professionals is critical, supports integrated care, and benefits providers and patients.
IME - Allied health are absent, excluded from or siloed in these spaces, or the physician/leadership lacks understanding of how OUR roles work and can support care. Under-utilized for sure! Like an after thought rather than a key component of supporting someone’s complex, unique health care needs.

HRNA are calling for the federal gov’t to:

2️⃣Reject forced “treatment.”
3️⃣Fund health, housing, harm reduction & Indigenous healing.
4️⃣Legislate equity-based public health.
5️⃣Meet HRNA Board in 30 days.

Really enjoying the recent nicotine and tobacco content! Recently started in a new peer-led program for tobacco smoking cessation/harm reduction for 2S/LGBTQ+ folks. After primarily focusing on other substances for so long I have a policy learning curve for tobacco.
