Selma Municipal Court makes special arrangements for Jubilee arrests Selma's Municipal Court made special arrangements for citizens arrested for misdemeanors during the Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee weekend, the court said in a statement Monday.

“These efforts allow the court to resolve cases efficiently while helping individuals move forward with dignity and accountability.”

The SAVE Act Would Disenfranchise Millions of Citizens The SAVE Act would require all Americans to prove their citizenship with documentation unavailable to millions and upend the way every American citizen registers to vote.

The SAVE Act blocks millions from voting. 146M lack passports. 69M married women's names don't match birth certificates. It ends online registration, mail registration, voter drives. Every citizen forced to appear in person with original docs. It's deliberate suppression.

Jubilee Warrant Clinic held Friday Anyone in Selma with certain non-violent offenses may go to First Baptist Church to have their fines reduced or waived.

Justice should never be out of reach.

Yesterday in Selma, we joined GRAE, LDF, and local partners to host a Jubilee Warrant Clinic. The clinic helped community members address non-violent warrants and reduce or waive fines, bringing legal support directly to the people.

Voting rights groups sue Georgia for refusing to release voter purge records Without full access to the records, plaintiffs say they cannot determine whether eligible voters were wrongly removed.

Nearly 471,000 Georgia voters were removed from the rolls. Black Voters Matter Fund and two Georgia unions are suing Brad Raffensperger after he refused to turn over key records tied to the purge.
