Yes, it is only feasible if it is reciprocated, that is, mutual. It is an ideal to aspire to, but mostly won’t work unless you’re living a highly reciprocating community. Still, the alternative (power against power) is not exactly attractive.
And for something completely different, here’s what’s delighting my heart and keeping me sane these days. Nothing quite like a little spring/summer garden to provide a source of deep joy and offline contentment (yes, it’s just officialily 😉 turned summer downunder).

Here’s a disruptive thought… whenever you think or use “doing mission/s” replace it with “participating in the purposes of God”. If you stop to think about it, it makes a world of difference.
In a conversation today I accidentally thought my interlocutor referred to herself as a Freevangelical. She didn't but I'm gonna use it as much as I can from now on. Doctrinal positions pending. 🤣

Another step closer to the World Cup for the All Blacks - and a win celebrated in yet another country. In 2011 I was in Hong Kong for the nail biter win against France. In 2015 I was here in Chiang Mai when we beat South Africa. I’ll be between trips for the final - hope I don’t jinx it! 😅
