Unfortunately it's true. Our micro students are some of the best students here (and the nicest!). Felt weird giving a lecture today to the first years today that I won't be delivering again...
Could be a prophage? We have seen similar things with strains with prophage in them.
Very proud of PhD student number 3, Dr Rhian Ford, who graduated yesterday! Rhian was the first "fully Bdello" PhD in my group.
