I think one of the things we can do is explore using salt water for data center cooling and desalination it with the heat energy used. The remaining salts can be mixed with elemental carbon to make a potent descendant which can pull moisture from the hair helping to cool the climate.

Required public reporting on compute energy costs would have immense value for data centers, utility companies, and the customers they serve. A lot of the compute could be time bounded to serve load as needed.

I think this is a low cost way to facilitate this. It would just be a matter of operationalizing it and bypassing or collaborating with local powers that be. Unfortunately global lumber is counter productive to this not that we can't have both in a synergistic way.

When you switch from fossil to clean you only use like 30-40% of the energy to do the same stuff, bc most energy from fossil fuels is lost as waste heat

Techno optimism can help with climate mitigation only if it's applied. It will take collaboration at scale and the demand for its implementation will need to outweigh the demand for our greed, our lust for power, and our need for ideological purity. It will need buy in from every industrialist
The reasoning is that poorer countries will take the biggest hit and it works out great for rich countries because they need to spend less money destabilizing them to farm their resources. The poor being poorer is what makes the rich richer.
