I like this time of year, when you don't need to stray from your garden for wildlife - an Early Bumblebee living up to its name. @bumblebeetrust.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social #gardenwildlife #ukwildlife #ukbumblebees #naturephotography

As others have said, it's the words that are important, just use an old photo for the clicks, and binoculars for the birding.
I feel the same about Smew, having first had one pointed out to me by a friend's birdy father at Upton Warren when I was 10 or 11 or so. A lifetime of birding ensued...

Sounds about right. I have this photo of what I presumed was a Marsh Tit on the Riverside Walk from Feb 2019. The second one is from Duncliffe Woods from 2024.
Never bored of Willow Tits, and I've never knowingly seen one. A few Marsh Tits on various Dorset sites over the years, at least I assumed they were Marsh Tits, as we don't have any Willow Tits!
Or even Langstone...
Last one from the Hayling Island trip - the Ship Inn, Langston, arguably the best view from a pub beer garden (for birders) - next time we'll go at high tide!
Hayling Island is really all about the Mediterranean Gulls though, although a couple of Common Gulls showed up as well #hantsiowwt #ukbirding #ukwildlife #seabirds #waders

Another wonderful @harbourbirds.bsky.social boat trip -despite the rainy start, it soon cleared. Nice to meet you, @chrissnook.bsky.social. The first photo is, of course, of the distant White-Tailed Eagle pair. More photos to come. @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social
I've decided the same rule applies to Pale-Bellied/Dark-Bellied Brent Geese.
Thanks Jack ๐

Not something you get looking at you through your bedroom window every day. Sparrowhawks are regular visitors, but never had one sit still long enough for me to grab a camera. Think he was embarrassed at not catching the Robin he was after. @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social
