Friends, I have created a Starter Pack of economics journals (and working paper series) active on Bluesky. Hope this is useful for academic, policy, and industry economists alike. #Econsky Please let me know if there are any that I missed!
I would also add another 30% who have savings to cover only 3 months or less of expenses who should be watching what is happening to their savings. That adds up to 55 percent, a clean 5 deciles that would tell if inflation is up or down by just looking ay their savings.
But they should know how much is left after paying for all groceries (and all other consumption goods) which is their savings. If savings are down, inflation is up. Considering 25% of US population have no savings to cover for emergencies, they should definitely know if their savings are up or down.
