Tbf, I think that people shouldn't think of the voting system as bans, but more as rotation. The devs will hopefully ban aggressively to make the people's format good
I love the sneaky -2 attack update
Verdant shoots does not synergize with verdance beyond it like also using earth cards
A 1 handed sometimes club is really not that bad. Rko doesn't really need to swing weapon very often anyway
I hope your first rant is about how they changed the time-line for your rant video
Cyb forced verdance to hedge into unscouted opps. But with the exception of a deck that had disruption like nuu, it was kind of whatever
The just play more blues counter was always fake. Just makes you lose the game slower
Yeah, he's so fun, but I don't see you can close games with him. You can't stack because your throwing random cards from top to bottom and you have no evasive damage. And you're AP limited, so it's hard to string together a huge turn without scabs
I think the issue with the 3 of them is really that they generally don't set up for their big turns but kind of oops into them. It's not 0 setup, but I wouldn't consider them particularly meaningful quests.
Having said that, none of them are top meta decks, even with this calling performance
Dio and oscillio also stack and reach end states where it matters relatively frequently. What games does Victor take to stack?
Dashio and oscillio being easy to learn feels like a hot take
Post dromai or before? Because she was gatekeeping plenty of decks as well. Also kano existed and had 90-10s into guardian and warrior
I would hope gem would throw an error
I think the issue is that the invite is either worth whatever the going PTI rate is, or it's worth 0 for someone who can't make the trip. Maybe make it so that you can redeem a PQ invite for the next event in your region makes people actually prioritize the invite?
I think LSS sees aurora as a bigger problem because they pushed it as the hero to learn the game from first strike > armory deck. But also, this is just how LL is designed. They could make sure talents never rotate out by creating mystic arakni huntsman, but is that really interesting?
If this is the direction, it seems like a long time without mystic, but it's also very hard to serve all the different talents in the game
Where are you getting win rate numbers?
Performance is a very difficult thing to measure for a hero as well because not all decks have equal pilots playing them. Popular decks are probably going to struggle to have super high win rates
Usually equipment is half the pull rate as other ms, but not sure if that applies to a single hand weapon
Supreme warrior bravo!
Finally, I think there should also be some sort of scale for disruption vs value
The proactive/reactive section is also maybe closer to hand scaling? So, a "defensive deck" scales logarithmic with more cards, midrange is linear, aggressive is exponential. This loses the nuance of aggro decks having low block values on their cards, but maybe that's a diff axis?
What examples do you have for low and high ratio dependence? Like is mech tight or ratios because it often requires 100% mech cards? Also, I guess blues don't count towards the ratio axis?
I might prefer to reclassify that as deckbuilding flexibility
Weekly boltyn newsletter, explaining why he is the BDIF
The cards are really only as good as the heroes text. I think traverse makes it a little too easy to abuse chi for your best combo/most important turn of the game. But otherwise, even if you get 3 value out of a chi + 1 extra ability, that still is below rate because you had to play a blue
Get yourself on that LL roll of honor for when they start to LL LL'd heroes
I didn't really play much MST, but Rosetta stands pretty far ahead of the pack for me as well. But I also like bright lights draft, so what do I know?
If this trend holds up, then hopefully we could regional world premieres? But that might not be practical yet
