Earth appears as a hemisphere against the blackness of space.
there is no plan(et) b.
A spiral galaxy seen close up and almost face on. It is filled with puffy, patchy clouds of hot gas and dust. Red, orange and yellow colours indicate light emitted by different particles. The brightest colours are in the centre and along the two spiral arms, which wind out from the centre. Star clusters hide in the gas along the arms. A few large, bright white stars are prominent in the foreground, near to us.
A Hubble image of the globular cluster Omega Centauri, a collection of myriad stars colored red, white, and blue on the black background of space.
Several bright stars shine in yellow, orange, and white hues. The stars have diffraction spikes, and two are particularly large just above and below the image's center. The background is full of dark brown dust and gas that covers most of the diagonal right half of the view, with pale blue gas glowing in the upper left section.
The Crab Nebula. An oval with complex structure extends from lower left to upper right against a black background. On the ovalβs exterior lie curtains of glowing yellow and green fluffy material. Its interior shell shows large-scale loops of mottled filaments of yellow-white and green, studded with clumps and knots. Translucent thin ribbons of smoky blue lie within the remnantβs interior, brightest toward its center. The blue material follows different directions throughout, including sometimes sharply curving away from certain regions within the remnant. A faint, wispy ring of blue material encircles the very center of the nebula. Around and within the supernova remnant are many points of blue, green, purple, and white light.
stressed about the state of the world and need some space? me too! here you go π
there's a very special, unbreakable bond between writer and that one synonym they learned years ago which they have since proceeded to make a core part of their personality, using it any chance they get
i love logging on here because my entire feed is just #Booksky and wheel of time friends. it feels like a great corner of the internet π€

"We'll rebuild, the Light willing. And if the Light isn't willing we'll rebuild anyway."

i cried so much. it was beautiful. good luck!
yeah, this is a great point
For all the flak George Lucas gets for his writing, pretty hard to deny the "so this is how liberty dies" line is an unfortunately spot on banger.
I know this sounds weak, I know it.
But kindness is one of the few things we carry that can make a difference for each other.
We canβt undo all this hate, but we can still make life a little easier for others.
wait why does this make so much sense
i donβt think iβll ever recover from hero of ages πππ

Rand after Dragonmount:
this made me laugh FAR too hard lmao
itβs the best hyperfixation!!
wait, i like this
i have not...going to look into it ASAP!!
reading kaladin's is like looking in a mirror and then reading adolin's is like getting a glimpse of what would my life would be like without mental illness...
Reading Adolin's PoV in Stormlight Archive is always a such a jarring experience to me. He is such a charismatic and extroverted character.
Everytime I read his chapters I am just like, Imagine not being crippled by severe social anxiety and introversion. Sounds nice.
My favorite hobbies are:
Reading books
Admiring books
Buying books
Convincing others to buy books
Talking about books
Thinking about books
yes, that's impressive - all of those things are major challenges to reconcile and continue the desired narrative/tone/themes/trajectory of the project with. excited to start watching!
thank you for pointing this out!!! i can tend to go in with too much book baggage sometimes...although i try not, it's just instinctual. but purposely knowing not to, i think, will make my experience a lot better!
this makes a lot of sense tbh. i definitely am excited to see the additional scenes and to experience the story they are telling
that's honestly what i want to get out of the show more than anything else. i want to feel like i'm immersed in the world i love so much.
yep, i absolutely understand this. i think it's so cool that they are adapting such a massive and amazing fantasy story, it's definitely an immensely challenging task. i'm pretty excited to get into it, especially hearing feedback like this.
yeah, that is kind of how i'm planning to treat it - generally i do that with book adaptations, because expecting it to be the same experience will always fall flat. and you know what, i'll take some quality, on-screen fanfic!
