The Mets optioned Jonah Tong to Triple-A Syracuse. Not entirely surprising since he was probably always going to start there anyway. They have six starters in the rotation and only one (Nolan McLean) with options.

New York keeps pouring it on in this one. After an RBI groundout made it 8-0, Ronny Mauricio laced a 108.4 mph double into the gap to bring home Carson Benge and make it 9-0. Really nice day from the shortstop at the plate, as he has two hits and a walk. #Mets

Carson Benge continues to impress this spring. After striking out on a curveball in his first at-bat, the right fielder adjusts and smokes a curveball into the left-center gap for a triple. He showed off the full skillset on that play, and he extends the lead to 5-0. #Mets
