The safest way to store your firearm is not just locked up, but also unloaded. Remove the magazine, clear the chamber, and double-check that no ammunition remains inside before storing a firearm. An unloaded gun reduces the risk of unintentional injury.

Firearm suicide is a quiet crisis — which could be worsening because of ghost guns, a new study found.
The analysis, which used data from the CDC and The Trace’s Gun Violence Data Hub, found a previously unreported link between gun recoveries and suicide rates.

Harper Moyski was one of two children shot and killed in the mass shooting. Her parents have met individually with more than a dozen lawmakers, from both parties, for conversations in their living room about keeping kids safe.
Please take time to listen and watch our conversation with Harper Moyski’s mom and dad. They invited several lawmakers one by one into their home shortly after the mass shooting at Annunciation church and school to talk about gun violence prevention.
Their daughter died in the Annunciation mass shooting. Since then they’ve met with 19 lawmakers in their living room, a majority Republicans, to have conversations about gun violence.
