I'm using the term hip hop because that's what OP used, they said that's what they were going for!! I think all of the people and styles you showed look beautiful, clothes don't define character.

I truly did not meant that at all and I'm sorry if that's what it sounded like. I'm saying that they made a whole new character because they didn't took anything about vortex as a character. They changed his entire style, Vortex is a punk goth, that's why it feels like a new character.

It feels forced, Vortex it's a punk goth, there is already so little representation of black people being punk goth. They decided to give him hip hop+

I get the "freeform" thing, but sometimes it just feels so forced. I think it comes from a place of a "evil ex" thrope, it's ofen done with Vox too, but when it comes to Lilith it feels like there's something more about the choice...

I'm not saying he's right, I'm saying that you shouldn't tell black people that they know nothing about black culture. Also, I assume the person is making the association because of the context of the redesign and the implications that some of the comments of the person who made it left.

people often treat Lilith like an evil queen (which would be hot and okay if their reasons weren't coddling male characters) and just downright assume the worst of her, but they always see the best in the male characters, it's a little upsetting
