Mugen opens his mouth wide to take a rather big bite of his dango, even saying "aaa~" as he is about to devour that whole thing like his life depends on it. Bee is on the side just watching in interest.

It now pans to Bee who is sitting next to Mugen, contemplating her very cute little puppy themed dango. Extra cute with flowers and bows. She thinks to herself, "Cute...kind of looks like..."

Mugen has stuck that entire stick of dango in his mouth to the point his cheeks are puffed out as he chews on the sweet treat. He looks over to Bee while he holds his two other dango sticks, confused on why she is staring at him.

Mugen finally stops chewing so he can speak his mind, asking her, "What were you thinking..." Only for Bee to reply with, "Oh, just how cute this one is...almost kinda looks like you!" Mugen blushes just a little as he denies this with a "No way!" Deny all you want Mugen, you can't run from the facts.

Black folks in this community get too much from every direction, they don't need to get it from you too. Recognize when they, once again, give you a chance to be a friend. And recognize when you've fucked up.

Be fucking grateful when someone shows you the good will to reach out and let you know when you've done something hurtful and ignorant. Understanding that maybe you didn't know better, but now have the chance to fix it. That is a kindness that many take for granted and don't deserve.

that many people don't want to be better. They want to *act* better but not put in the uncomfortable work. They lash out and paint you as some angry individual who is always making drama, or making it about race - so I do not blame anyone for not wanting to entertain her, or future folks, in private

And that's ignoring the fact that almost every time, the folks who are hurt (who in this case, and many others, are black or poc) DO try to reach out privately. Especially when they feel that person is a friend or cares enough to learn to be better. And over and over again they are reminded -

in reference to things I've seen said in the last 24hrs pertaining to /elpisdarling. (And I apologize to those affected just trying to get past this)

But about the whole "deal with it in private" message. Saying this when clearly there have been messages sent continues to make it the victim's job.
