Work in progress for a new background painting I'm working on, the balloon loop Shelby uses to turn around, before heading out of town
Any building design suggestions?

I may have found an alternative source of parts for this little scheme, mwahaha
Silly question, does anyone have an electric scooter or bike that they don't want any more?
(I have an idea to make a ride-on mini streetcar, mwahaha)
I had a fun weekend with @shutterbear.bsky.social and @chomp.dog! Furwalk followed by a food tour in Hocking Hills, with some interesting antiques.
Isambard Inkblot went out for a walk this evening and encountered a most peculiar statue...

Found this photo of a saddle tank helping to construct an electric line while I was working on an animation
This confirms something I had in mind for a script and may come in handy later
That's right, ye!
He's just such a fun "extra" that I have unofficially made him Shelby's motorman, since he kind of summarizes the vibe of your typical interurban dude, whose stability and intentions are hard to determine
Worth pointing out, Shelby was at one time equipped with a "People catcher"
Lost Tapes episode where someone steals his controller reverse key which starts with him politely asking for it back and ends with at least one hospitalization
Zak Bagans type guy investigating in the woods, finding Stanley lining a switch
"EXACT CHANGE, I SAY!" as a shower of nickels gets ejected at the camera guy
I think it's funny just how many cryptids vaguely match the description of Stanley the motorman, including some stories centered around old rail infrastructure
I have a few characters like that, where, out of context, they'd be freaky looking, but are just... existing, minding their own business
I want to make something like Mantua's streetcar track panels but with slightly wider curves so I can run interurban stuff
Ideal portable layout, in my opinion
Might need another light coat of yellow on the J.G. Brill car, but, I think I made the right choice. Once that's done, going to mask up the ends and sides below the belt rail and go over the thing in white. Canvas roof on this one, too, probably light grey(?)
What drive unit is under this steeplecab?
I don't mind the little stripes, to be honest!
Interurban railways are like trains but only the fun parts, like, having a whistle, following super tight track work, going right up to cool places, and quickly turning around to go back the other way
I want a train game where street traffic is stupid and has collisions, though
Animated shot from the new Isambard Inkblot cartoon - Featuring Chief Christie's first appearance in a few years.
Quite happy with this one!

The type of guy who'd hang out with Kidd Friction!
Great silhouette on this fella

I really like that coal unloading dock! Always nice to see steam switchers on these types of puzzles, too
I noticed a lot of new folks found me here on BlueSky after my trolley-posting got unexpectedly popular
Here's some Shelby art, since I'm in an interurban mood. Been busy on my latest animated project - Sketched this as a warmup

Interior drawing of Shelby the interurban car - No immediate plans, but, this ought to come in handy the next time I animate her. The controls are absent so I can animate Motorman Stanley at work

The individual layers separated from this one - I'm imagining the seats only being used for zooms in and out while we watch our motorman dance and bounce around, both hands and the right leg anchored by the controls
Hope this answers the question of "What's behind Shelby's eyes"

Happy birthday! Hope you had a lovely time!
Ideally, I'll cut a slot in the fenders of the car body, shave off the original mounting lugs, and have the body sit real low. Not sure what I'll pull with it, perhaps a small coach, but it's good fun
It's nice being able to fit the track into smaller spaces, via tight corners and double-ended cars. Being able to model urban scenes with the trains right in traffic is such a refreshing change of pace from traditional heavy rail, though a mix of both is ideal for me
The couplers are too low to mate with anything, but, more importantly, they do genuinely fit into this chassis without any modification
Just got to find a pair of underset couplers (and possibly add some more weight inside the roof to aid with traction)
