"I'll be sure to pack them carefully whenever I travel to Val Royeaux," Josephine replied, kissing Isabela's cheek.
Josephine cleared her throat.
"That's very... thoughtful of you, dear. Thank you."

"It does seem that way and it is something I am quite glad to help you with," she smiled as she captured Isabela's lips.
"Who are you and what have you done with Isabela?"

"Good," she replied and leaned in, pressing her lips to Isabela's forehead.
"It can work... occasionally."
Josephine laughed softly. "If there is anyone in Thedas with nothing to fear from me, it is you."
"I imagine every archdemon left is quaking in fear," Josephine chuckled and embraced Isabela, giving her a kiss.
"Any dragon or archdemon that meant you harm would have to answer to me," Josephine chuckled softly.
Chuckling softly, Josephine said, "it is good to see you again, Billiam."
She picked up a quill and wrote a short letter, congratulating Cole and Bellara and confirming that she would be in attendance for their nuptials before handing it over to the candelhop.
Josephine held Isabela close, closing her eyes and breathing in her scent, which soothed her. "As am I, my love."
"I am glad," Josephine smiled and nuzzled into Isabela, kissing her again. "And I find your company most envigorating, even if my darkest hour."
Josephine heard the distinctive clip-clop of a candlehop and looked up, her brow rising as she saw Billiam.
"Oh my," she murmured, "Billiam. What are you doing here?" the diplomat asked as she reached for the letter, hoping everything was well with Cole. On reading its contents, she smiled widely.
"Or a bed," Josephine chuckled softly, "but I do like working with you, it is pleasant to have your company even when reading and writing letters and missives."
"You're too kind," the diplomat smiled fondly at her wife. "But you are the type of adventurous swashbuckler I read about in my youth."
"But still every bit as beautiful," Josephine told her as the two of them shared another kiss. "I count myself a lucky woman to have you."
"You are full of surprises, my love, it is one of the things I love about you," Josephine replied, giving the pirate a kiss.
"Trade documents? You?" Josephine arched her brow quizzically.
Hearing the words, Josephine smiled and leaned into Isabela, holding the other woman close. "And I love you," she replied in Antiva. "Now and always."
"I don't doubt it," Josephine chuckled and cupped Isabela's cheeks as she gave the pirate a kiss.
"I admit, it is not often a diplomat cannot find the words..." she replied with a faint blush.
