Of the album’s 12 tracks - one is easy to omit - it’s a great song, but stuck on at the end after the passing of a (beloved) buddy. The other 11 are maybe his most cohesive effort ever, or at least since ToL. (Best and cohesive are not the same, although I’d put this album near the top regardless).
People seem surprised when bands like Arcade Fire and War on Drugs list Bruce as a major influence, but on this album (if maybe not this song) he sounds completely in step with these critical darlings, a mere 35 years after his debut
